Abstract :
A TM01-mode launcher for an overmoded cylindrical waveguide has been designed, developed and analysed. It consists of a coaxial to cylindrical waveguide transition ending with a wheel type mode launcher inside a cylindrical waveguide and impedance matching of coaxial line to guide impedance is done through three step impedance transformer. The structure is modeled and simulated using a 3D numerical software HFSS. The analytical and simulated results for VSWR are found in close agreement with the experimental results
