Abstract :
The increase in the installed load is often due to government programs to subsidize service in electric power infrastructure in rural areas or areas with low concentration of demand. These programs go through the planning of utilities, and have compromised the maintenance procedures. Considering the importance of these programs, as well as the difficulties of electric utility companies in maintaining the records of updated equipment, it is presented here a model that allows the overall performance assessment, taking into consideration the capacities and regulatory factors in the maintenance process of decision making. The proposed model meets the challenge of integrating maintenance actions with the overall performance of the network, keeping in harmony the actions of expansion and maintenance, translated by the spread of a computer application capable of providing an ordered set of alternatives for decision making based on the actual performance of the system and the desired goal.
