Abstract :
Reflectivity modulating communication is an effective data transmission technique for reduction of power consumption of a handheld information terminal. Combination of a liquid crystal light modulator and a corner reflecting mirror device is employed to implement the technique. Characteristics of the reflectivity-modulating device are introduced and evaluated to confirm the feasibility of the technique
