Abstract
This paper evaluates coding methods to meet the quality of service requirements of various services to be offered over broadband satellite networks, transported by ATM cells or AAL PDUs. A partially-concatenated coding method is proposed for ATM cell transport to optimize bandwidth. Analyses and comparisons of channel capacities for services under different alternatives are presented
