Abstract :
A new voltage controlled current regulator is introduced for the torque control of a three-phase induction motor. The control procedure is similar to that of a space vector current regulator except that the switching time for the zero switching vector is chosen such that the error between the reference current and the actual current is reduced in each sampling time. Simulation results show that employing this current control method will improve the transient torque response of the induction motor while in the steady-state. The stator current in the conventional and modified methods are approximately the same
