Abstract :
Ricoh has been tackling since the late 1980s such themes as energy savings, conservation of resources and anti pollution measures with the environmental conservation as one of our core management principles and has contributed to realization of a recycling-based society in a positive manner. Especially in the recycling aspect, for example, Ricoh created (1994) a basic concept which implies how the recycling-based society should be put in a reality, which aims for producing a maximum effect with minimal resources. Ricoh has positively deployed the concept not only in the Japanese market, but also in the foreign market with recognition that the concept should be globally employed to get a leading position in the industry worldwide
