Abstract :
In our paper, diffractive optical elements (DOE´s) are designed for generation nondiffracting millimeter wave beams. In order to reduce the computational burden, the design tool, which employs a microgenetic algorithm (MGA) for optimal design of DOE´s in conjunction with a body-of-revolution finite-difference time-domain (BOR-FDTD) method for rigorous analysis of the diffracted fields, has been introduced for the first time to obtain the DOE´s profiles. Numerical results demonstrate that the field distributions diffracted by the designed DOE´s agree well with that of desired on the output plane.
