Abstract :
This article reviews Variable Fidelity Optimization (VFO). It presents the typical VFO framework -approximation management framework (AMF), in this section the applications and shortcomings of AMF are discussed and the corresponding improvements of AMF is also presents. Its related techniques-scaling method follows. Besides, some newly developed VFO approaches have also been discussed. Finally, it ends with topics for future research.
