Abstract :
This paper describes how a recycling market is constructed and what conditions are necessary to realize the recycling. Recently we face the various environment problems and we are trying to solve them. In Japan, the Law for Recycling of Specified Kinds of Home Appliances was enforced in April 2001. Firms have responsibility for recycling their own products, while consumers have to pay money for wastes´ disposal. We present the recycling market model based on the law, and analyze the recycling market by applying to Market Microstructure Theory. As a result, we specify the recycling market equilibrium and analyze the market effect of the life of products and the conditions for holding the market
