Abstract :
A novel feeding concept of a multisector antenna system is presented in this paper. The feeding concept is particularly well suited for an antenna system working over a relatively wide frequency bandwidth and requiring simultaneous excitation of variable number of beams with a constant equivalent isotropic radiated power (EIRP). Its practical implementation on a multi-layer 25 N Arlon substrate to feed a 4-sector planar antenna system for a mesh network shows interesting results over the full 5 GHz Wi-Fi bandwidth.
