Abstract :
The kinetics of platelets aggregation on protein-coated surfaces under flow conditions was studied using a PC-based imaging system. The fluorescence-labeled platelets were in whole blood flowing through a chamber. The platelets deposited onto the protein-coated surface in a time-dependent manner. The application of the fractal dimension to characterize the distribution of platelets deposition provided a measure of the degree of correlation of the signal over time
