  • Abstract
    A simplified analysis of the double layer electret with a frozen space charge leads to a conclusion that such a structure can show a piezo-effect in case of difference in elasticity coefficients of both layers. Results of the experiments carried out on the PP-PS foil electrets confirmed that the value of piezoelectric coefficient can be comparable to that of PVDF films. Investigation of the TSD current has shown that the charge storage properties of the structure are mainly determined by the properties of the PP layer
