Abstract :
Knowledge is playing a more and more significant role in this knowledge-intensive world, particularly in product-orientated manufacturing in which design knowledge reuse would promote the procedure of new product development. Meanwhile, with increasing applications of Internet and other networked technologies, as well as emerging needs for high-efficiency, energy-saving and service-orientated manufacturing models, Cloud Manufacturing is proposed to meet those needs. In Cloud Manufacturing, all the resources are organized dynamically to provide service-orientated support. However, knowledge is distributed in each branches and subsidiaries of Group Corporation and possesses heterogeneity which would limit the sharing of knowledge across the whole Group Corporation. To deal with those problems, a service-orientated knowledge fusion architecture is presented in this paper. In this architecture, knowledge is packaged as service in the Cloud Manufacturing platform that users could access according to their needs. Base on the knowledge organization model, knowledge fusion could be fulfilled through the ontology mapping and fusion. In the end, conclusion is made about the efficiency of this architecture.
