  • Abstract
Fractal coding techniques achieve compression of digital image and video data by reduction of redundancy existing in various parts of images on different scales. This paper covers the current techniques used in fractal video compression, and investigates the advantages and disadvantages of each technique for very low bit rate video coding, with a quality versus rate performance comparison
