Abstract :
OSPF (open shortest path first) is a widely used intra-domain routing protocol in IP networks. The performance of OSPF implementations is impacted by internal packet processing time. In this paper, we study OSPF scalability and propose an evaluation method based on white-box measurements. Compared with black-box OSPF measurement, our method can be used to design a network, because the implementation performance and scalability limitation can be calculated based on the parameters measured
