Abstract :
This paper outlines the reasons why COES wants to adopt the CIM standard and the road map to make its information systems compatible with CIM. COES information system is an internally developed system (SICOES), and would be the starting point to adopt CIM. It is necessary to integrate the data of the third party software used in COES for power system analysis activities to the SICOES central equipment container to achieve a common definition and description for the elements.
