Abstract
Two special-purpose hardware implementations are presented for the ALOPEX process, an iterative optimization technique that uses feedback to find an extremum in a cost function that is problem-defined. One of the methods is time-sensitive, and the other is hardware-sensitive. The parallel character of the ALOPEX algorithms and the complexity of the process are addressed
