Abstract
An ac-ac series converter is employed in a transient stability simulation in order to show its feasibility to help in mitigating the transient behavior. A lead-lag controller is designed to compensate the switches´ duty cycle, with the purpose of returning the regulated active power flow in the branch where the device is connected. Results on a test power system are exhibited.
