Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel wavelength selection method for the path multiplexing in which a source edge router Es determines a set of wavelengths that Es requests to reserve in all optical communication links along a message transmission route. Here, a conventional wavelength selection method in which each edge router assigns priorities to wavelength is extended to support long-lived reconfigurable WDM all-optical networks. That is, priorities assigned to wavelengths in each edge router are updated when network topology changes for achieving a stable priority assignment that realizes higher successful reservation ratio in a short period of time
