Abstract :
A set of suggestions is presented by the authors to IEEE committees working to standardize medical data communications between devices and host computers (IEEE P1073) and among host computers (IEEE P1157). The authors´ model is intended to be a formal logic for the conceptual schema, and does not specify any particular implementation. They give a syntax in terms of abstract data records linked by pointers and also a semantics based on naive category theory
