Abstract :
We present a correction technique for arbitrary waveform generators that utilize time-interleaved digital-to-analog converters. By correcting non-ideal responses of the digital-to-analog converters, the overall signal quality of the source can be improved. To verify this technique, the improvement in a 64-quadrature-amplitude-modulated waveform with a bandwidth of 1.25 GHz was evaluated. The error vector magnitude of the source was improved from 7.8 % to 0.7% with the proposed corrections.
