Abstract :
This paper proposes a method for a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) which selects an appropriate stator d,q-axis current component combination (flux current, torque current) such that the influence of iron core loss on the developed torque can be minimized in torque control. A coupled finite element analysis and Preisach´s modeling for SynRMs is presented to verify the propriety of the proposed method and the characteristics analysis is performed under the effect of saturation and iron loss. Computer simulation and experimental results show the propriety of the proposed method.
