Abstract :
A 5GHz IEEE 802.11a compliant wireless local area network transceiver integrated circuit was tested using a Teradyne Catalyst mixed signal test system. Methods for implementing transmit and receive tests and results of those tests are described. The tests included transmit carrier and sideband suppression, transmit spectrum mask, transmit modulation accuracy, receive I- and Q-balance, and receive error vector magnitude.
