Abstract :
An iterative procedure for solving the load flow problem for radial distribution feeders is described. The method is termed the ´scan and iterate´ approach. The method is analyzed for convergence. An application to solving radial distribution feeders with shunt capacitors is described and illustrated. A novel graphic user interface is described for the analysis of shunt capacitor placement and control along a radial primary distribution feeder.
