Abstract :
Paging simulcast effects are evaluated at the propagation, radio link and system design levels. The simulcast electric field is evaluated over a surface, in time and in frequency. The performance of a 6400 bps pager in a cluttered simulcast environment with transmitter frequency offsets is evaluated through simulation. The system evaluated consists of a pager unit located in a region from which multiple transmitting sites are visible. The modulation format is 4 level FSK. General system design guidelines are discussed
