Abstract :
A digital frequency division duplex transceiver system is presented which is suitable for 900 MHz portable wireless applications including cordless telephone. The system consists of four ICs including a low noise amplifier, a receiver, a transmitter and a baseband IC. Features include 118 dB of receiver dynamic range, 0 dBm transmitter output power and a continuously variable slope delta modulation baseband codec. The transmitter, LNA and receiver utilize the MOSAIC(TM) V RF silicon bipolar process while the baseband chip utilizes a 0.65 μm BICMOS process
