Abstract
The application of the SOAP protocol in an e-commerce solution is considered. Two methods of hierarchical system: two tier and three tier models are presented. The communication between client and server depending on XML, SOAP and Z39.50 protocols are explained. The e-Shop application of the SOAP protocol is developed.
