Abstract :
In this article the small- aperture antenna with the metalized dielectric disc and off-axis excitation is proposed. Numerical simulations of near-field distributions, radiation patterns and the return loss allow determining the optimal geometric parameters of the antenna to realize beamforming given in advance. As a result of the antenna prototype testing the following characteristics are obtained: -10dB impedance bandwidth is 20%; beamwidth in the H- and E-planes equal to 28° and 40°, respectively; the radiation maximum is oriented to zenith. The proposed antenna can be used in wireless communication systems.
