Abstract :
Regularities of plastic flow development at mesoscale level in low-carbon steel specimens, with functional deformable double-layered coatings deposited by cold gas-dynamic spraying, were investigated. It was demonstrated that the character of plastic flow at mesolevel in the composition can vary significantly depending on the relationship between adhesive and cohesive strength. Based on analysis of experimental data obtained using the television-optical meter for surface characterization “TOMSC”, the mechanisms of plastic flow that accompany beginning and relaxation of stress concentration at the coating-substrate interface, are illustrated
