Abstract
Summary form only given. Decision support tools for dispatch at Independent System Operators (ISO) of large power system and markets are receiving a lot attention. This focus was exacerbated following series of major power blackouts that occurred in 2003 and thereafter. To leverage the best practices in the design of tools for grid operators and dispatchers, from different parts of the world, an International Working Group on advanced decision support tools for dispatcher have been formed. The group consists of system operators of large power grids. This presentation discusses the activities and findings of this working group
