Abstract :
This paper describes some concepts that could be used to facilitate initial discussion in the updating of a distribution voltage quality standard. IEEE 1250 Guidelines provide an excellent starting point for this effort. Going forward, there is a need to identify typical levels of performance in distribution systems, characterize important factors affecting performance, identify ways to solve the problems if the performance is unacceptable, and provide references for standardized measurement procedures and assessment methods (related standards). This document outlines important elements of such a voltage quality standard
