Abstract :
This paper presents the results of creating a 2D positioning system based on the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. We showed and discussed the development of a 16-channel passive RFID system for the 5 m × 5 m indoor facility. For object localization we implemented the modified method of positioning zones and achieved the mean localization error of around 0.31 m.
