Abstract :
Various methods of gear mesh faulty diagnosis are been worked upon. This paper present a novel approach of signal modeling of gear mesh vibration signal. The purpose of signal modeling is for the diagnosis the faulty condition of the gear mesh. This can be achieved by having a appropriate model of good condition gear mesh vibration signal and further using this model for analysis of the faulty condition. The scope of this paper is to present various methods in which the gear mesh vibration signal can be modeled and to estimate an appropriate model for the gear mesh vibration experimental set up. Different AR and ARMA signal models are analyzed and an suitable model for the experimental vibration set up is identified.
