Abstract :
For He-Ne and He-Ne/I/sub 2/ lasers, in case of natural mixture of neon isotopes, an influence of the isotope with lower concentration on longitudinal mode competition is observed. An application of this phenomenon is proposed for an enhancement of the single mode selection efficiency.
