Abstract :
FM spectroscopy is used for frequency stabilizing an Ar/sup +/ laser at 515 nm with respect to a passive cavity. Preliminary reduction of amplitude fluctuations is performed. The laser´s frequency will then be referenced to that of an hyperfine component of iodine, in order to realize an optical frequency standard.
