Abstract :
A new approach to non-contact investigation of small displacements by measuring a diode laser frequency shift was demonstrated. The laser frequency shift is due to an optical feedback from a surface of the moving object and proportional to the object displacement. The technique was applied for calibration of standard accelerometer.
