Abstract :
In this paper, a new fault diagnosis model based on Petri net is put forward. The detailed Petri Net models and relevant inference process are presented. The proposed system can locate the fault elements fast and accurately, and generates reliable and effective diagnosis results automatically. It can be applied in the power grid for not only simple fault, but also multiple faults or the severe faults composed of the protective devices incorrect operation. This system is good for the online fault diagnosis of power system. The practical test in Siping power grid shows that the fault diagnosis system based on the proposed models is practicable and effective
