  • Abstract
Microprocessor device hardware architecture study is not an easy task for students. In many cases, students are not capable of linking the knowledge acquired in other branches with the professor explanations. The DIY (Do It Yourself) method is used successfully in the teaching of microprocessor description. This avoids the description of boring and harsh chapters which are difficult to be understood by the students, who, nevertheless already know. By means of this technique, each student can build up his own microprocessor which makes easier the understanding of the functionality of the electronic parts it is made of. This technique has two major advantages: on one hand, it creates a synergic interactivity; on the other hand, it uses the Information and Communication Technology resources.
