Abstract
General Electronics is the first subject in electronics that students have in many engineering syllabi, i.e., it is the first contact with electronics. Besides, it is quite usual that the satisfaction of this first contact determines the will of a large part of the students to specialize in electronics. Therefore, if it is considered as the university´s duty to put in the labor market an appropriate number of engineers specialized in electronics, it is mandatory to introduce the General Electronics as an appealing subject. The perception of the subject and the ease to assimilate the concepts included in it depend on the teaching methodology, among other factors. Considering all these aspects, the teaching methodology of the subject of General Electronics acquires a capital importance. This paper describes the experience gained by the authors teaching General Electronics.
