Abstract :
This paper evaluates minimum and maximum exchange power considering economic and technical characteristics between Russia and ROK. First, we evaluate minimum exchange power to assure economic feasibility by comparing with the total cost and benefit of interconnected line. For evaluating maximum exchange power, two constraints are considered, which are composed of interconnected line constraint and system constraint. Interconnected line constraint depends on geographical situation of Russia and Korean peninsula. System constraint is evaluated through PSS/E power system analysis. As a result of these evaluations, we propose the maximum exchange power. As a conclusion, we suggest the reasonable range of exchange power between ROK and Russia considering economic and technical constraints with the interconnection scenario that power system interconnection between ROK and Russia is realized in the year of 2010
