Abstract :
We consider the problem of supporting multihop broadcast over adaptively duty-cycled wireless sensor networks (WSNs). We present hybrid-cast, a broadcast protocol which adopts opportunistic data delivery in order to shorten broadcast latency. Hybrid-cast achieves less number of transmission times or redundant transmissions via delivery deferring and online forwarder selection. The preliminary simulation results validate the effectiveness and efficiency of our design.
