SOA-Based Approach for the Future Internet

With the emergence of new needs and technologies, the current protocols design and networks architectures seem to reach its evolution and innovation limits. To this end, and under the Post- IP research direction, we propose a new protocol model designed for protocols in the Future Internet. To emphasize and highlight the benefits of our solution, we propose a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)-based implementation which provides flexibility, and selfadaptability as well as technology transparency. The proposed reference architecture is defined for the Nth stratum concpet of the 4WARD consortium.
