Abstract
The AXMEDIS project is exploring an integrated framework on cross-media content processing and production for multi-channel distribution. This paper presents one of the key sections of the framework with particular focus on the programme and publication (P&P) interface for defining programme and distribution of contents. The P&P tools provide an integrated environment with GUI where users can search for contents, create/edit programmes, and specify the transmission channel. Once a P&P programme is created and activated, the contents can be processed and delivered in an automatic manner as defined by the P&P programme. To demonstrate the functionalities of the AXMEDIS P&P tools, this paper presents a case study which utilises the P&P tools for the distribution of the AXMEDIS contents via satellite data broadcast provided by the EUTELSAT´s OPENSKY platform.
