Abstract :
Stroke order variation due to delayed strokes causes predicament in online word recognition. A delayed stroke is a part of one character which is written after writing one or more characters of a word. These strokes mostly occur in the upper and lower zones of a baseline characters. This paper analyzes different types of delayed strokes in Devanagari script and its proper positioning relating to base line strokes for accurate word recognition.
