VANS and OSI promotion

In order to give the end-user a larger choice when he/she intends to connect to a value-added service, to protect the user´s investment, and to enlarge the community of users that may communicate, large telematic services providers are required to provide open systems interconnection (OSI)-based standard access procedures. The selection of the appropriate standards, elaboration of methodological tools, and dissemination of the corresponding knowledge in the community of users and providers for a better promotion of OSI in European economic community countries are discussed
