Abstract :
In order to assess the direct-drive wind turbine reliability during the trial operation stage, a new method for reliability growth estimation is proposed based on life data conversion method and conditional expectation technology. Wind turbine failures are tracked in the trial operation stage, converted into interval life data, and then changed to be the complete life data using conditional expectation technology, finally, wind turbine life distribution is inferred, the distribution parameters and the point and interval estimation of wind turbine reliability metrics are given. A numerical example shows the effectiveness of this method.
