Abstract
With the introduction of B-ISDN networks based on ATM, networks supporting heterogeneous services have become a reality. We address the problem of dynamic routing in multiclass networks. The objectives of “sharing” network resources and providing “isolation” between classes are taken into consideration and two distinct classes of routing policies are proposed. The performance characteristics of the proposed routing policies are presented through extensive simulations, and appropriate comparisons are made
