Abstract
Steady state space charge measurements were made on low density polyethylene samples, with and without TiO2 additive. Space charge density profiles were obtained for isothermal samples and samples containing a temperature gradient. Steady state current density was also measured as a function of temperature and field; it appeared to be largely controlled by charge injection at the electrodes. Although the presence of TiO2 additive altered the space charge density profile, no appreciable effect was observed on the conductivity or on its field and temperature dependence.
