ECITC-the European system for IT testing and certification

ECITC (European committee for information technology testing and certification) has been established in line with the broad endeavors to create a single European internal market. Its role is to ensure that test reports and certificates proving that IT products comply with agreed standards will be mutually recognized all over Europe. ECITC has set up a framework system into which relevant organizations can enter and act. Initial steps for testing and certification, early work to form ECITC, recognition arrangement status, and future plans and activities of ECITC are outlined
