Abstract :
Eventually, optical subscriber loops using fiber cables and operation systems will be constructed as the infrastructure for providing future broadband and multimedia services in the FFTH (fiber to the home) era. We discuss the configuration of a common optical cable network database for simplifying the task application flow and exchanging the large amount and different operation systems data. So far, many metallic cables have been installed, and the network has a single star topology. In addition, it is anticipated that the configuration of the optical cable networks, such as its topology and the accommodation of subscribers, will change in accordance with the service form, the subscriber distribution, and cable hardware technology. The common optical cable network database connected to the optical subscriber loop operation platform was designed using an object oriented modeling method. The object-oriented database developed enabled the integration of individual operation systems in order to realize total OAM&P (operation, administration, maintenance, and provisioning) service
